Portage Webinar: Data Management and the Transition to NDRIO Update

Date: March 31, 2020

Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EDT

Location: Online

Presentation and Slides

In this free webinar, the Portage Network will share an update on the data management landscape and the transition to the New Digital Research Infrastructure Organization (NDRIO). We will explore the progress being made by the Portage Network in finding solutions to practical challenges researchers and institutions face in meeting journal and funding-agency requirements regarding data management.  In addition, we will share the strides Portage has made in responding to the three pillars of the forthcoming Tri-Agency Research Data Management Policy.  Attendees will learn about how Portage continues to innovate and contribute to the RDM ecosystem on both practical and policy fronts as it moves towards the transition to the New Digital Research Infrastructure Organization (NDRIO).

The Portage Network, an initiative of the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) with the goal of building research data management (RDM) capacity in Canada through a network of experts in a growing community of practice.

Jeff Moon is the Director of Portage, a national, library-based network launched by the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) with the goal of building capacity and coordinating RDM activities in Canada.
