Call for Expressions of Interest: FRDR Service Model Working Group

Portage is establishing a working group to develop a distributed service model for the Federated Research Data Repository (FRDR). This is your opportunity to help build a community of practice around this specific data discovery and repository platform. We are looking for volunteers who will provide recommendations of best practices for a distributed service model; will help identify priorities for the launch of this service and beyond; and will review the draft Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and user documentation for the service. This group will be instrumental in aligning FRDR with the needs of Canadian researchers and those supporting research data on local campuses. Lee Wilson, the Portage Interim Service Manager and a member of the Compute Canada FRDR development team, will chair this group and directly communicate this group’s recommendations to the FRDR developers. For further information, please see the Terms of Reference for this working group.

We are now seeking volunteers from the Portage Expert Group community to join this Working Group. If you would like to participate or to recommend a colleague, please contact Lee Wilson (Interim Service Manager) and Chuck Humphrey (Portage Director) with a brief expression of interest. We are asking that you respond by August 07 2017.
