OTTAWA, June 16 2017 – The Portage Council of Chairs held their second annual in-person meeting on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the CANARIE Headquarters, in Ottawa, Ontario.
The Chairs of the Portage expert groups gathered to plan and coordinate the operation of the Network of Expertise. This full-day meeting involved discussion on accomplishments over the past year, plans for each expert group going into 2018, areas needing coordination among expert groups, and budget items associated with each group’s planned activities.

Portage is a national research data management initiative to assist researchers and other research data management stakeholders through a library-based network of expertise on RDM and national platforms for planning, preserving, and discovering research data. Portage is managed by the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL).
