DMP Assistant Shutdown Ahead of 2.0 Launch
We are very excited to announce that the development and migration of DMP Assistant 2.0 is nearing its completion. As such, we would like to notify all users and administrators of the DMP Assistant that in preparation for the imminent launch of the DMP Assistant 2.0, the platform will be unavailable from Monday, February 22 to Monday, March 1, 2021 to allow for final migration of data. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The launch of the DMP Assistant 2.0 is aimed for the first week of March. Any work that DMP Assistant users have completed prior to the shutdown will be migrated to the new 2.0 platform, along with any other existing data management plans (DMPs), templates and user data. We recommend that users please save and/or export any existing DMPs/data that you may require during the shutdown period of February 22 to March 1, 2021. Once launched, users will be able to access the DMP Assistant 2.0 service at the same URL (https://assistant.portagenetwork.ca) with their existing credentials, and new users may create accounts as normal.
Institutional administrators should also be advised that customized interface skins will not be available at the launch but will be available soon after. More detailed information on the customization of the platform will be shared with administrators, along with an updated version of the DMP Assistant Institutional Customization Guide that is currently in development.
For more information and for any further questions, please contact Robyn Nicholson, Data Management Planning Coordinator, at robyn.nicholson@carl-abrc.ca.
Thank you very much for your patience and cooperation as we prepare for launch. We are very excited to share this new updated DMP Assistant 2.0 with the community, and look forward to the continued growth and development of the platform!
