FRDR Discovery Redesign
Portage is redesigning the Federated Research Data Repository (FRDR) discovery interface and needs your help.
We are seeking user feedback to improve the FRDR discovery service and have launched two surveys on the site. One is a quick, two-question pop-up survey; the other is a bit longer and aims to capture your user experience in more detail. Your participation in these surveys will help us to understand why and how you search for data, informing the redesign of the data discovery service so that you can have a better data search experience in the future.
FRDR User Testing
Earlier this year, Portage created a new Working Group to support the redesign of the FRDR Discovery Service, ensuring that the project is community-driven and incorporates usability best practices. Now we’re looking for user testers from the community to provide additional feedback on prototypes and early builds of the new search interface. User testers will be called upon as needed to participate in short sessions to review new designs or discuss proposed features put forward by the Working Group. Ideally, we’re looking to have a mix of data and information professionals as well as researchers, so please feel free to forward this invite along to anyone you think might be interested.
Please fill out this form if you would like to be contacted to take part in our user testing. You will receive a volunteer agreement explaining in detail what you will be asked to do.
