New DMP Brief Guides and Primers!
Portage has published new DMP Brief Guides and Primers, in English and French, to assist researchers who are new to creating data management plans. These convenient two-page resources cover the basics of what a DMP is, why researchers should create a DMP, what the standard components of a DMP are, and how researchers can create their own DMPs.
The Primer is customizable, so institutions can include their own DMP contact. Get started with DMPs or share these within your research networks!
Brief Guide – Data Management Plan
Many thanks to the Data Management Planning Expert Group (DMPEG) Training Working Group, chaired by Li Zhang (University of Saskatchewan), for their hard work in developing these valuable resources.
The DMPEG works to promote and nurture a strong data culture in Canada. They develop guidelines, best practices, and content in support of templates and guidance materials for the Portage national DMP service, DMP Assistant. They also contribute to the development of standards underlying the structure and management of DMP Assistant templates and the exchange of DMP information to facilitate its sharing and reuse.
