The Portage Network of Expertise consists of six expert groups providing direction, advice, and support for research data management (RDM) in Canadian universities. These expert groups work with professionals in our university libraries who are providing research data management services on their local campuses. Contributing to the development of an RDM community of practice, expert groups will issue calls to the library community seeking volunteers for short-term, specific projects that will identify and inform the research community of RDM best practices.
The Portage Data Discovery Expert Group (DDEG) is working on a collaborative and cohesive strategy for data discovery in Canada. They have published a white paper on factors critically related to this topic and have formed working groups to build upon the foundations of this white paper.
