Portage Training Expert Group – About Us

The primary purpose of the Training Expert Group (TEG) is to provide Portage with a high-level perspective on a national RDM training roadmap that identifies the skill development needs of stakeholders in the Canadian research community, especially related to the provision or use of RDM services and infrastructure. 

This Expert Group will provide oversight of specific projects that deliver training and produce materials to support RDM skill development. Some topics of interest include:

  • Completing data management plans
  • Producing metadata and documentation
  • Selecting data formats
  • Storing data securely
  • Selecting data repositories
  • Preserving data
